Bio: Michelle "Chellie Fig" Figueiredo graduated magna cum laude from Rider University with a B.S. in Behavioral Neuroscience, B.A. in Dance Performance, and a certificate in leadership. Throughout college, she was a member of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts and trained with American Repertory Ballet at the Princeton Ballet School. Michelle is a former four-year veteran and two-year captain of the NBA’s Sixers Dancers. While representing the Sixers Dancers, she has performed internationally across China on an NBA China Tour (4x). Michelle was also was selected to represent the Sixers Dancers on the NBA All Star Dance Team held in New Orleans, Louisiana (2014) and was invited back to perform at the NBA All Star Game in New York City (2015). She has also appeared on local television channels, radio stations, and performed back-up for various artists. During the pandemic, Michelle performed in her very first virtual performance with Artist House and danced in the "Bad Influence" music video for Swedish artist, Theo Allen. Most recently, she is the creator and director of Saint Mark's Dance Team, and on faculty with Impact Dance Adjudicators, ELEVATE Dance, and Koresh School of Dance. As a choreographer both domestically and internationally, she has worked with high-school, collegiate, and professional dance teams. Chellie has completed a teaching tour in Germany and had the opportunity to choreograph for Liberty Dance Team based in Stuttgart. Currently, she is a versatile, freelance dance artist based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania continuing to train and perform in many different styles.

She was the first student dancer to be chosen as the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker at her dance studio in 2007. Taylor Christine was a member of the Inaugural Philadelphia 76ers Junior Dance Team from ages 8-13. She was a four-time varsity cheerleader and All-American Cheerleader in high school, being selected to perform in the London New Year’s Day Parade. Taylor Christine continued her passion by cheering her freshman year at West Virginia University on their co-ed Blue Team, performed with a popular YouTube star, Stephen Sharer, as a dancer in his music video, “Slushie”, and is a former Baltimore Blast Cheerleader. Join Lee-Ann for this virtual contemporary jazz performance series on 3/5 at 12 Noon EST. Dancers will work on basic foundations and technique, then learn a combination that they can then perform on video as a part of an annual video project for the National Alliance on Mental Illness Philly, which will be shared during Mental Health Awareness Month in May. Dancers must film and submit their video by March 31 to be a part of the project. This is a donation based class, and any donation will go to NAMI Philly. Instructor Bio: Kimberly began dancing in her teens while living in Southern California. She became executive director for Barkada Modern, a competition hip hop dance team, and was also a dancer for Team Millennia. From there, she entered the semi-pro cheer community by becoming a dancer for the Inglewood Blackhawks, and then for the Tulsa Oilers. Currently, she works as an optometrist, dances whenever she gets the chance, and is involved in pageantry. Kimberly is excited to get back into teaching, and grateful to be able to do so while supporting Stop Soldier Suicide, an organization that aims to lower the suicide rate of our military and veterans through accessible help and resources.

Join Angelica Bua for this upbeat pro dance team style hip hop class that will have you “chasin’ the groove” virtually! Angelica Bua has been dancing for 21 years and is trained in all styles of dance, but especially enjoys hip-hop and contemporary.  As a graduate of West Chester University, she was the captain of the nationally ranked West Chester University Dance Team. Angelica is currently in her fourth year dancing professionally in the Philadelphia sports entertainment industry.  She began her post-college career dancing for the National Lacrosse League (NLL) on the Philadelphia Wings where she became captain. Angelica then became a member of Squad 76 and can be seen dancing there today on television and at the Wells Fargo Center.  Angelica’s training at Broadway Dance Center in New York City has connected her with well renowned Choreographers in the dance industry, and she also teaches at local dance studios. Above all else, Angelica’s teaching style emphasizes confidence within a no stress environment for all of her classes. She is also the creator of Chasin’ The Groove, an online dance platform.
