Episode 15 of our Heart to Heart series features Christie Horan, Owner/Founder of Powerhouse Danceworks and the Captain of the NBA’s Washington Wizards Dancers . She has been a captain for 3 years now and has been on the team for 6 years. She is the owner of her business, Powerhouse Danceworks, a choreography company with a team of talented choreographers that travel the nation to teach dance teams award-winning choreography. Christie graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2014, earning her bachelors in Business Marketing, and danced on the nationally recognized dance team all four years. She was captain of the team her senior year and competed each year at UDA Nationals in the Hip Hop Pom categories. She now can be seen choreographing for college dance teams, including the one she came from through her dance company. Christie is a full-time entrepreneur and amazing dancer, certified trainer, instructor, and choreographer who’s mission is to help others live their best life, on and off the dance floor! GeNienne is the CEO/President of GS Consulting & Communications, INC (GSCC), where she does process improvement consulting, and the CEO/President of Sideline Prep, a professional cheer/dance prep company that coaches aspiring cheerleaders and dancers who want to go pro. GeNienne’s passion for Sideline Prep stems from her career as a professional cheerleader/dancer for the NFL’s Washington Redskins Cheerleaders (currently Washington Football Team)for eight years and the NBA’s Washington Wizard Girls. GeNienne is currently an In-Game Host for the NFL’s Washington Football Team and is a Co-Host for The WOW! Redskins podcast. GeNienne is also a freelance anchor, reporter and producer for Prince George’s County Maryland’s CTV News and the DC Office of Cable Television, Film, Music and Entertainment.
